EVENTS 2025
"Walks in History" was created with the aim of promoting the history and territory of Castel D'Aiano.
Accompanied by a GAE guide and the Museum volunteers, the walks will be at a slow pace suitable for everyone, to fully enjoy the day in nature.
During the breaks, the volunteers will tell you stories related to past war events or the history and origins of the town.
We have thought of four circular routes to tell you the history of all three regiments of the 10th Mountain Division, the Brazilian expeditionary force and the forgotten history of the 337th American regiment... But not only that!
Soon the walks will be joined by "Legends & Gothic Line", an event dedicated exclusively to families, children and young people.
For the first time and with great honor, we will participate in the INTERNATIONAL HISTORY FESTIVAL in collaboration with the University of Bologna!
Every walk or event we organize will be free of charge, in order to raise funds for the self-financing and future expansion of the Museum.
WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU IN LARGE NUMBERS AT CASTEL D'AIANO and... lace up your hiking boots!

Monte Spe - Quota 913
Sunday 2 March 2025 - 9.30 am
Departure to climb Monte Spe to visit the trenches, American fox holes and the German observatory; we will continue towards the seventeenth-century village of Torre Iussi where you can visit the small church and the ancient ice house, before climbing to Quota 913, where we will see the German trenches and the steles in memory of some American soldiers wounded or fallen in combat.
Throughout the route, during the stops, the volunteers will tell you stories about the country or about the war events that occurred between March and April 1945.

LA F.E.B. A CASTEL D'AIANO
"It is easier for a snake to smoke a pipe than for Brazil to go to war"...and instead Brazil was the only South American country to fight during the Second World War!
On the occasion of the International History Festival, organized by the University of Bologna, the Museum will host a temporary exhibition of objects belonging to soldiers of the Brazilian expeditionary force, some of which will be accompanied by the story of the person to whom they belonged.
Exhibition in collaboration with other local collectors!
